An Impression
My impression of politics right now:
Side 1:
We're right and you're wrong! Fuck the people!
Side 2:
No, WE'RE right, and YOU'RE wrong. Fuck the people!
Side 3(the independent side):
You're BOTH wrong, its a conspiracy, and only we can see it! Fuck the people!
Fuck 'em all.

No Subject
Yes yes, I know that its been some months since I last posted on here. However, for better or worse, I'm back for a bit...at least.
So, let's see what's been going on, shall we?
The Cubs still suck, Rosie O'Donnell is still nuts, Bush is delusional, my pool game is pretty damn good, and fast food workers are still pissed about my McDonald's post... Yep, just the way I left things. Heh.
Anyone watch the De La Hoya/Mayweather fight a couple weeks ago? Not a single friend of mine believed me when I said that the fight was going to be nothing more than one guy chasing the other. I've got to get them to start betting on these things with me. Floyd is talented, EXTREMELY talented. It would, however, be nice if he was willing to exchange a bit instead of the "stick and move, safety first" mentality he has. The kid could go down as one of the best ever if he were willing to mix it up more. Oscar, on the other hand, cleared $53 million. Let me say that again. FIFTY THREE MILLION DOLLARS. For one night's work. 25 for the fight, and an additional 28 from the pay per view revenue. All I can say is, do you really think Oscar cares if he lost the fight? Along with all that money, look what he gets to go home to! Damn is all I can say.
Anyhow, I had some wonderfully poignant thought to wrap this up, however it suddenly just split. So, until next time kids, in the words of a wise man, drive fast and take chances.

Political Correctness
I'm tired of everyone always being worried about stepping on other peoples' toes. At this point, I don't give a fuck if I offend someone, unless its someone whose feelings actually matter to me. And that list has recently shrunk severely. Don't like how I think? Tough shit. Don't like what I say? Deal with it. Don't like my lack of sensitivity? Go fuck yourself. I think what I want and I usually say what I want. That's the way it is, and the way its going to stay. That does NOT, however, mean that I'm too stubborn to change the way I think. I have an open mind regardless whether or not I agree with you. Just because I don't agree with you, that doesn't mean that I'm close-minded or whatever new buzzword/insult you want to hurl at me.
One thing I've really noticed lately is how everyone cries about free speech until someone says something they don't like. Then they want them shut up. I think Freddie Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church fucktards are terrible for this country. "God hates fags" I think is their call to arms. Well, I don't believe in god, and I know a few "fags". I happen to like them all. Ol' Freddie does have the right to say it, though, whether you like it or not. Just because you disagree, that doesn't mean that they can't. Take, for instance, the wonderful little spectacle that happened at, I believe, Columbia University a couple months ago. The founder of the Minutemen orginization(the ones that were trying to patrol the US/Mexico border for illegal crossings) was speaking to an audience there. He was invited to speak by a student orginization. When he was introduced to the podium, another group of students rushed the stage to stop him from speaking and a melee ensued. The latter group's defense after the fact? "Our 1st Amendment rights were being trampled!" So, by trampling someone else's 1st amendment rights, yours were violated? These people believe that the 1st amendment applies only to them...and they're not the only ones. Too many people believe this. This is probably a few days(months) late a few dollars short, but I just had to get this off my chest.
I hope that I didn't make too many spelling errors here. The Blogger spell checker doesn't seem to be working. My bad, if there are.

Galdernit.
I can't believe that its been over a month since I posted anything on this beeyotch. I guess I've got to make up for missed time, huh?
Anyone else think the media is blowing the John Kerry thing out or proportion? We already know that "The Chin" is a douchebag. Yes yes, as is "Gomer" for my libby readers...both of you. *rollseyes*
I've decided that local election campaigns totally blow gerbil. I knew this before, I just never had the forum to vent my frustrations about it then. "My opponent is a poopy face doodoo head. Vote for me." Jesus, this is just about how bad its gotten.
How about that World Series, huh? Wait, its over? When did it start? Just kidding. I did watch it. Maybe it was just me, but Jim Leyland seemed more like a nanny than he did a coach. It seemed like he, or one of his coaches, were out on the mound every other batter. For fucks sakes, let the kids pitch! Oh yeah, 5 errors on their pitchers alone didn't help much.
I had ONE trick or treater at my house this year. Guess I've got to take the 10 pounds of candy I bought into the office and make my coworkers eat it.
Anyone else tired of actors and musicians pretending to be political scientists? Oh yeah, I'm going to change my thinking just because the fucking Dixie Chicks said so. Kiss my ass bitches.

Edit: Rush Limbaugh is a douchebag, too.

Monday...
Its probably just a coincidence that I feel this way today, but have you ever felt just...off? I don't feel right today. Not bad, exactly, but not good, either. Strange.
Didn't do anything exciting last night. Just shot some pool and had a couple drinks. Literally, just a couple. Went home, and was in bed by 11pm because I had an early morning today. Maybe that's it. Ah well. Let's see what going on in the world, shall we?
Hugo, Hugo, Hugo. The devil? Isn't this the guy that said if we invaded, Venezuela would repel us with bows and arrows? The guy ain't all there.
President Ahminidijad...I think...The guy is charismatic, I'll give him that. However, I don't think he's any different than any other politician. That's ALL he is, in my opinion.
My beloved Cubbies flat out SUCK. However, Da Bears are doing fucking AWESOME!
I'm pissed that no network carried the Edison Miranda/Arthur Abraham fight this weekend. Sounds like it was a barnburner. However, the Diego Corrales/Joel Casamayor fight on the 7th should MORE than make up for it. It will be brutal, dirty, and foul infested...and that's just Casamayor. Don't miss it!
